LIFE ON CARILLON STONEGATE POND
Life on Carillon Stonegate Pond is my project to document and photograph the birds, wildlife, insects, wildflowers and trees that live on, in, around or visit our ponds, wetlands and woodlands throughout the seasons.
Our two ponds are approximately 2.5 acres each. The ecosystem of these ponds and the adjacent wetlands and woodlands is important and the variety of flora and fauna has been surprising.

Life on Carillon Stonegate Pond is my project to document and photograph the birds, wildlife, insects, wildflowers and trees that live on, in or visit our ponds and surrounding wetlands and woodlands throughout the seasons. As birds and wildlife are identified and captured in photographs, these will be added to this website.
Carillon Stonegate Ponds (not official name) are on the +100 acre Arlene Shoemaker Flatwoods Nature Preserve in Aurora, Illinois overseen by the Kane County Forest Preserve. And the Carillon at Stonegate community lends a hand. There are two ponds of approximately 2.5 acres each. The ecosystem of these ponds is important and the variety of wildlife has been surprising.
