Our Carillon Stonegate Ponds are home to a wide variety of birds and to many avian visitors. Even some that are quite surprising! Great Blue Heron, Mallards and Great Egret on shore of Carillon Stonegate Pond.

You will also find a variety of other wildlife such as deer, coyotes, raccoons, opossum, rabbits, squirrels, fish, muskrats and snakes. Coyotes above roaming the iced-over Carillon Stonegate Pond.

PLANTS & INSECTS

And both in and surrounding Carillon Stonegate Pond, there are a collection of plants, shrubs and trees that make the ecology of the ponds so interesting. You will also find a variety of insects such as Hummingbird Clearwing Moth shown above visiting the Wild Bergamot.
